This super greens smoothie bowl is pretty, pretty delicious, and highly nutritious to boot! Wheatgrass powder is a concentrated source of vitamins and minerals and also contains dietary chlorophyll, which may help the body detox from heavy metals by binding to them for excretion. It is high in magnesium, a mineral known to reduce water retention. Kale, like all cruciferous vegetables, is especially high in glucosinolates, which support detoxification of potentially cancer-causing substances. Leafy greens are also high in fiber and promote the body’s natural elimination process. Parsley is an herb used to reduce indigestion. It also helps the body remove toxins by supporting elimination and urination.
- 1 scoop wheatgrass powder or 1 bunch fresh wheatgrass
- 2 cups chopped kale
- ½ lemon (quartered, seeds removed, peel left on)
