NEW MORNING MARKET’S 9TH ANNUAL FREE WINE AND CHEESE CUSTOMER APPRECIATION EVENT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS
After the power outages and snow storms dampened the spirits of the residents in Woodbury and the surrounding towns, New Morning’s Wine and Cheese event was a very welcome party to be had.
New Morning Market hosted their 9th annual Wine and Cheese Customer Appreciation Event on Thursday, November 10th at the Old Town Hall. There were well over 250 people in attendance, more than in year’s past, Everyone enjoyed the artisanal and regional cheeses as well as local wines from Hopkins Vineyard of New Preston, CT and Walker Road Vineyard of Woodbury CT along with organic wines from Organic Vintages.
Chef Carol of New Morning’s The Provender impressed the attendees with her signature Madras Mayhem Bombay which is a creamy cheese pâté with Indian inspired flavors. Winding Drive Jams and Jellies and Bantam Breads made the event even more delicious! Theresa Edler gave the ambiance it’s ever so special feel and rustic warmth. All elements creating a most festive evening!
Boxed Goodes of Litchfield CT wowed the crowds with an abundance of delectable items including their ever popular scarlet runner beans. Owner Pamela Dunn stated, “It was exciting to see friends, customers and community members for a celebratory evening. There was so much support and appreciation of the store as well as the vendors. We were so thankful to be invited to participate. New Morning has a natural ability to bring people joyfully together.”
Bob Taylor from the Woodbury Community Services Council was thrilled with the turn out and donations to the Food Bank, “New Morning's guest’s filled five large bins to the rim with nonperishable goods, providing important help to keep the Woodbury Food bank well stocked during the holiday season. The Community Services Council and the families in need we serve throughout the year are deeply grateful to John Pittari, New Morning staff and customers for your generosity of spirit and compassionate support."
