Community Harvest
A Benefit for The Woodbury Food Bank
Thursday, November 4
6:00-9:00 pm
Old Woodbury Town Hall
Thanks to all who came and supported New Morning’s 8th annual wine and cheese- a benefit for the Woodbury Food Bank. Thanks to our generous guests, we were able to gift $1040 dollars for the cause and in addition to several donations of food. "Our friends at New Morning, the vendors who participated, and all who joined in the Community Harvest celebration have made a very special contribution to the well-being of our neighbors in need, during the holiday season and throughout the year," said Bob Taylor, president of the Community Services Council of Woodbury. The Old Town Hall was artfully decked out with dried floral arrangements created by William Whipple II, a Woodbury artist and designer.
A special “thank you” to three local vineyards who graciously sampled their fine wines:
Hopkins Vineyard of New Preston; Sunset Meadow of Goshen, and Woodbury’s own, Walker Road Vineyard.
And Many thanks to Wendy Brewer from Grafton Village Cheese Company in Vermont for making the journey down to our event to sample their incredible cheddar cheese.
New Morning‘s Provender won smash reviews for the fabulous Turkey, Cranberry and Stuffing Quesadillas with Cranberry Pepita Salsa and the truly delicious, creamy Bombay – a holiday favorite in many local homes.
Winding Drive Jams and Jellies of Woodbury, Bantam Bread, Coffee, Tea, and Etc of Goshen, and a much-anticipated visit by Vermont’s Grafton Village Cheese
Company played well with the award winning Berkshire Blue Cheese and Bear Pond of Glastonbury sampling gourmet organic pesto sauces.
Many thanks to Reign Productions, owned by Glen Bliven who brought us delightful music for the evening. Reign Productions does Live Event Sound, Stage Lighting, and D.J. services, contact Glen at 203-987-9870.
