A Harvest Celebration
A Benefit for The Old Woodbury Town Hall
New Morning’s Harvest Celebration to benefit the restoration of the Old Woodbury Town Hall was a great success! New Morning raised approximately $1,400 of which 100% of the proceeds will benefit the restoration fund. Thank you to all who came out to eat, drink, and be merry while bidding in the silent auction—a first for New Morning! With very generous donations from local businesses such as The Good News Café, Cornucopia Bed and Breakfast, Mod Skin Labs organic skin care, Discount Liquors, The Maids cleaning services, The Gilded Lily, Dottie’s Diner, Mind Body Works, Olive My Skin, Strive to Thrive, Video World, and much more. The Garden Center in
Woodbury, Dietrich Gardens, was very generous in donating some gorgeous topiary bushes and beautiful plants to decorate with for the event.
We were also thrilled to have the newly elected selectman, Jerry Stomski attending our event, a perfect time to celebrate! This year’s Wine and Cheese event had A LOT of local flavor. Many thanks to our Executive Chef of The Provender, Carol Byer-Alcorace for making her ever so scrumptious Madras Mayhem Bombay, along with a freshly roasted Stonewood turkey, which New Morning is currently taking
orders on for your Thanksgiving Feast.
Woodbury’s own Walker Road Vineyard, Hopkins Vineyard, and Sunset Meadow Vineyard came out to help kick off the holiday season with their wide array of wines. Naren and Gun Sonpal from Coffee-Tea-Etc. were on hand giving everyone a deliciously warming cup of coffee or tea and Bantam Bread delighted us with their savory breads for sampling. And back by popular demand owner of Berkshire Blue, Ira Grabel came down
from Great Barrington, Massachusetts sampling his taste-bud-tantalizing blue cheese. Matt Scott a partner of Twin Maple Farm located in the Hudson Valley came to the event generously sampling their flagship cheese, Hudson red Mosaic, simply delectable!
