Thanks for bringing the family to Earth Day at New Morning in Woodbury! Great tasting foods, local producers, natural product companies and environmentalists, were here to greet you with earth friendly ideas, information and samples. The latest in natural and organic cuisine from New Morning’s own Provender was sampled. Executive Chef Carol has taken food- to -go and catering to a delectable new level.
It was a whole day of fun . The children will loved the one year old kids from Mountain Brook Farm in addition to new born kids! Local producers sampled honey and maple syrup include Sprain Brook Apiary and Brook view Sugar House. Other favorites Snooty Foods and Tom’s of Maine returned to share their natural and organic goods with the thousands of local Connecticut residents who visited this great local festival.
This year’s theme was Climate Change- and what you can do in your own back yard to make a difference every day. Our local non-profit groups - were on hand to discuss how you can become stewards of good earth care: The Connecticut Chapter of the Northeast Organic Farming Association; Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition; Audubon Center at Bent of the River in Southbury; and the Housatonic Valley Association.

Many local practitioners, including Dr. Michael Gazsi, of Danbury and Josh Berry, ND of Hawleyville Naturopathic Medical Center, and Dr. Hermans, DVM shared their natural solutions for your good health.
Here, Dr. Hermans shares information about natural pet care.
WPKN broadcasted live from Earth Day again this year. John Pittari joined in on the discussion and took live phone calls!
